Meet our crew

Zak Westell
My name is Zak, I have been working in Construction for over 10 years. I started working with my dad when I was young doing shop fitting and then went on to work for a local construction company in Somerset. I was lucky enough to start my Plant Machinery Apprenticeship through my employer, where I completed my training at CITB - National Construction College (NCC) in Kings Lynn. After completion I gained my CPCS Competent Operators Card obtaining the Forward Tipping Dumper, Excavator 360 Above & Below 10 Tonnes and Telescopic Handler. I then spent a number of years working for various civil engineering companies in the South West building up my skills and knowledge of the industry, completing a variation of different schemes.
In 2023, I decided to start Westell Contracting with my Wife Lily. We complete landscaping jobs, general construction and groundworks as well as self employed machine operator works.
I am now working towards obtaining my Category C HGV License which I hope to have achieved by 2024.
